Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book?

Click book online to let us know what date you’d like to charter and what you’d like to do with your time on the water. We’ll get back to you right away with some ideas and availability. We’re real people - not bots - so please know we may not see those 11:53pm inquiries until the next morning:)

What is your pricing?

We offer a two hour minimum from $550. Additional hours are $100 per-hour booked in advance, $150 per-hour day of event. These rates include an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages, all gear and up to 6 passengers, departing from North Palm Beach / Juno Beach / Palm Beach Shores.

Pickups at other locations, additional passengers and special requests may involve extra costs. Please note that these rates apply to recreational charters only. Corporate and non-profit charters use a different rate schedule.

Where are you located?

We depart from Sailfish Marina, Harbourside Place Marina and many other public and private locations throughout The Palm Beaches + South Florida. We charter as far south Miami, but most of our trips take place in Palm Beach and southern Martin counties.

What should I wear?

Dress for outdoor adventure! Winter days can be cool and summer heat can be intense. Bring shoes that can get wet - leather and high heels are not recommended. Hats are good ideas too!

Is there a bathroom onboard?

No, but we’ll find you one if needed.

What should I bring?

Sunglasses, sunscreen, cameras, phones, binoculars, and any food/snacks/drinks you like. Each seat has dry storage!

What should I not bring?

Please don’t bring spray sunscreens - they make the deck EXTREMELY slippery. No high-heels, glass containers, firearms, illegal drugs or smoking/vaping.

Do you have room for my cooler?

Yes if small/soft-sided but please leave the giant YETI home.

Is it ok to bring alcohol?

Yes, alcoholic beverages are fine on all private and corporate charters. Please don’t bring bring glass-bottled beers, but wine and champagne bottles etc are fine.

Do I need to bring lifevests?

Nope, we supply vests for everyone. Adults are not required to wear one but we have comfy auto-inflating vests if you’d like to try one. Kids under 15 must wear a vest when onboard and underway. We have comfy kids vests too, or feel free to bring their own.

Will I get wet?

We try to keep everyone dry but sometimes Mother Nature has other ideas, especially on windy or stormy days.

Will I get seasick?

Seasickness is really rare inshore. Offshore trips are less protected and we move very slowly when close to wildlife. This can cause some people to feel seasick. If you know you’re one of those people, please consider taking a motion sickness remedy before you board. They’re available at local stores. In our experience, OTC meds generally work better than pressure point or electronic wrist bands.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Nope, you can safely participate without knowing the first thing about swimming!

What's the recommended age range?

We’re open to all ages and so far our guests have ranged from 2 months to 92 years! Most kids like the ride, especially when going faster and riding waves. Kids need to be about 40” tall to safely sit on their own saddle seat. Many 8-9 year olds are tall enough to reach the deck with their feet and hold the grab handles. Anyone who can't reach the deck or use the grab handles will be asked to use a bench seat for their own safety.

Are you ADA accessible?

Federal ADA regulations don’t apply to vessels of our size and configuration. Although we’re not mobility device accessible, we do try very hard to accommodate the needs of all guests. Please e-mail us to discuss your particular need and we'll be happy to discuss reasonable accommodations, consistent with marine safety.

Can I still participate if I have a serious medical condition?

Our trips don't require extreme fitness but this is also not your typical boat tour. If you have a serious medical condition, please consult your doctor before participating.

Is the ride rough?

RIBs offer a smooth, fast and fun ride! As with any boat, there will be turns, bumps and changes in acceleration and direction. We take safety seriously, and we ask you to use your own discretion in deciding to participate. Those who are pregnant or prone to head, neck, back, spine, skeletal or other pain or injuries should be in stable condition and consult with their doctor before participating.

Is it safe to wear my contact lenses or glasses?

Definitely bring sunglasses or other eye protection, especially if you wear contact lenses. If you are wearing sunglasses or prescription eyewear, we recommend sunglass straps.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club, JCB.

Do you accept debit cards?

Sorry, we do not accept debit card payments at this time.

Can I pay cash for my tour or excursion?

Yes, we gladly accept US cash. But in order to reserve your spot onboard, we'll need to hold a credit card number under your name. We will not charge your card unless you either no-show or you ask us to charge your card on the day of your charter instead of paying cash.

Do you accept checks for payment?

Only for those groups with whom we have an ongoing business relationship.

What is your gratuity policy?

Tips are always appreciated, please feel free:)

How early should I arrive for my tour or excursion?

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your departure time so you’ll have time to park, check-in, use the washroom, stow your gear and take part in a quick safety briefing.

What is your cancellation policy?

When we cancel a charter: due to inclement weather, dangerous conditions, safety risks, mechanical, maintenance or other issues beyond our control, we'll gladly refund 100% of your original purchase price. Or you can choose to rebook your trip for a mutually convenient time and date.

When you cancel a reservation: we’ll gladly refund 100% of your original purchase price if you can cancel at least 7 days in advance of your trip.

If you cancel less than 7 days in advance (or you miss your charter) we can’t provide a full refund. But we also know life happens. People get sick, cars break down, flights get cancelled…all sorts of stuff…and usually at the least convenient time.

Just get in touch to let us know what’s going on. You can reschedule most local charters (not including corporate charters or out-of-town charters) at no extra cost up to 2 hours before your charter starts.

We’ll help you rebook another date that works for you and for us, with full credit of your original purchase price. And no rebooking fee. Your rebooked charter must take place within one year of your original booking date. And if you’re not ready to rebook to a new date just let us know. We’ll gladly convert your reservation to a gift certificate. Easy to use, no conversion costs and no expiration dates!

What is your privacy policy?

We're not big fans of spam and unsolicited offers. But we do need to collect certain information from you for our reservation system to work properly. This info includes your name and the names of others in your group, an e-mail address and phone number with text capability so we can reach you with itinerary changes, credit card payment info/billing address, etc. We may ask if you would like to receive offers or news from Aqua Adventure Tours. It’s your choice and we’ll respect both your choice and your privacy.
