Small Business Life + Helping When We Can - December 2020

Nov 30 was the last day of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season - WOO-HOO!

South Florida got pretty lucky again in 2020, with just a couple close calls like this. The Gulf Coast, Caribbean and Central America all took some big hits though. And a few spots were hit again just a few weeks later.

It’s been a while but I remember very clearly how that felt. In 2004 we had four hurricanes in a row pass right over us. Lots of trees down, an office destroyed, docks torn up and no power to our home for weeks. Just as we made progress cleaning up, another storm would head our way bringing yet more damage.

Compared to 2020 though, we got off pretty easy back then. This year’s storms added an extra layer of “ugggh” on top of everything else going on in the world. Thankfully there are relief organizations that really do make a difference! Among many other groups doing great work, here are four whose missions we support:

This holiday season, we’re donating a portion of our sales to help people recover from hurricanes and tropical storms. Please consider donating to natural disaster relief efforts if you are able. Thru the websites above you can focus on specific regions, storms, other disasters, or even individual families in need. With everything else that’s happened in 2020, the need is immense. Thank you for any help you can provide to those in need.
