Growing up just an hour from Canada, my parents encouraged my siblings and I to get outdoors whenever possible. Years later, I realized the childhood outdoor habit they created was one of their greatest gifts. At Aqua Adventure Tours we try to pass that gift along to others every day!

Our Boat - The Osprey

ORIGIN

OSPREY was built in Marblehead, MA in 2017. She’s a 32-foot, 500 horsepower rigid inflatable boat (RIB), one of very few US Coast Guard inspected RIBs here in the US. RIBs are used by military, rescue and security services worldwide, and by tour operators throughout Canada, the UK and Europe. They're not common in the US because most boatbuilders and owners find it difficult to comply with the Coast Guard's design, testing construction and inspection standards. OSPREY is the only RIB operating in Florida as a USCG inspected passenger vessel. Designed to military and rescue standards, she’s equipped for adventure tourism.

RIDE

OSPREY is very light for her size and rides like a giant jet ski.  Her inflatable tubes deflect most spray and act as shock absorbers, giving her a very smooth ride.  With space for up to 14 guests she can easily accommodate most families and many small groups. Seating is a mix of saddle-style and traditional benches, each covered with plush vinyl upholstery. Splash-proof storage is provided and all seats have a great view. Even the stern bench is a terrific spot to take photos, plus it has the most shade on the boat!  A bluetooth sound system is available, twin dive ladders make re-boarding easy, and each ladder has a handheld freshwater shower.

SAFETY

OSPREY is equipped with emergency communication and navigation gear by ACR, ICOM and GARMIN, as well as automatic fire detection and suppression. We carry portable fire extinguishers, emergency signaling, first aid/first responder and man overboard gear that exceeds USCG requirements. Grab handles are conveniently located throughout. Crew are American Red Cross trained and certified for pediatric and adult first aid/CPR/AED. We provide USCG-approved automatic inflatable life vests for adults, and MUSTANG survival vests for kids under 16. Come join the fun on Florida's only USCG certified RIB ride!
